  • Quilt Display: Rutgers University
    Thursday, Mar 12 | 8:oo - 11:00 PM | Location: Rutgers Student Center Multipurpose Room, New Brunswick, NJ

    Stop the Traffick Jam is an exhibition of art through various mediums including music, visual art, and spoken word to raise awareness for human trafficking or modern-day slavery. There is a $5 admission fee, which will go directly to Free the Slaves.

  • Stomp the Traffick - Freedom Moves: Commemorating the National Day of Human Trafficking Awareness

    The Los Angeles County Unity Coalition will host a Demonstration through Old Town Whittier, Poetry and Dance to raise awareness on January 11th, 2009. The Survivor's Quilt will be present for viewing. If you miss your chance to see it, also check out the Coalition meeting on January 14th.

  • Stand Up Against Poverty Rally
    Friday, Oct 17 | 12-1pm | Upper Sproul Plaza

    Stand Against Poverty Rally, hosted by Berkeley's Amnesty International. STOP supports all the MDG's, and especially the following, to end the modern day slave trade:
    1) to eradicate extreme poverty and hunger
    2) to achieve universal primary education
    3) to promote gender equality and empower women.

  • Film Screening: "The Day My God Died"

    Film Screening of "The Day My God Died," a documentary about the anti-sex trafficking work of Anuradah Koirala and her organization, Maiti Nepal. Though Anuradah is regrettably ill, Joseph H. Collins and Brigette Cazalis-Collins, executive directors of "Friends of Maiti Nepal," Maiti Nepal's US representative, will be speaking on her behalf and answering audience questions afterward.

  • Quilt Display: Newman Hall Holy Center Parish
    Sunday, Oct 26 | 10:20-11:20 AM | Newman Center Church, Dwight and College Ave

    Brenda Heppler and STOP the Traffick will be hosting a table at the Newman Hall Holy Center Parish at corner of Dwight and College to raise awareness about human trafficking and Tassa Tag, an organization that sells tags made at the Regina Center in Thailand to raise awareness about trafficking victims and trafficking itself, especially ways to identify human trafficking at airports.
