Today, more than 27 million are enslaved globally. An estimated 14,500-17,000 foreign nationals are trafficked annually into the U.S. alone. The number of U.S. citizens who are trafficked within the country are even larger. Men, women and young children are forced into slavery each day either for various forms of labor, or sex work.

Human trafficking is modern day slavery.

According to U.S. federal law, victims of severe forms of human trafficking are defined as those induced into commercial sex acts, labor or services through the means of violence, deception or threats. Under force, fraud and coercion, young women and children suffer both physical and psychological control and exploitation by traffickers. Victims and survivors are a group of individuals who are often under-represented in society and remain invisible.

This project seeks to make them visible.
Modern day slavery is real.
We are all impacted and WE can make a difference.
